How to import your Flickr photos to Zooomr – Use Migratr

Previously, I posted about the best free alternative to FlickrZooomr . For those who are moving from one to the other, or for that matter, even moving from Picasa, Smugmug, Photobucket or almost any other photo sharing web site to another, Migratr will help you to migrate your photos between web sites, and of course its free. It can be downloaded from here.

Once installed it you need to select which service you will be importing/migrating your photos from.

It then asks you to authenticate the Migratr client to the service…in this instance flickr. You do this by logging in to your account on your browser and allowing the authentication on the window that comes up.

When thats done, you may click import to start importing your photos.

..of course you need to define a folder on the hard drive where the program first needs to store all your imported photos. So if you have tons of photos, be wary of the space it will take up.

In the next step, you choose which service you need to export the photos into.

In my case it is Zooomr, and thus I need to autheticate the client on my zoomr account exactly as previously.

Once thats done, I need to show the program where the photos from flickr were imported into (as in step 3)

The program shows you all the imported photos, and you can choose which to import and which not to.

and thats it, when I click Start export, it begins the process.

However, I dont think it imports the photos by albums, I need to explore more about that. If it doesnt, that could be a big disadvantage.
